JSA Strawberry Picking 2012!

E-mail Print PDF

Hello all,

This is Mayuko, JSA's Internal Vice President! 皆さんどうぞよろしくお願いします^^

This past Saturday, we held our annual Strawberry Picking event. This is my second time attending this event, and I look forward to it every year. I grew up in Carlsbad where the Strawberry Fields are located, so it's a pleasure for me to share a part of my hometown with JSA every year :)

Anyways, we left at around 1PM from Café Ventanas for the Strawberry Fields, and arrived at around 1:30PM. We all purchased our individual buckets (small, or large) and began strawberry picking!

Everyone had their own standards for what a Strawberry should be, so everyone's buckets were full of different kinds of strawberries. Some people filled it up way to the top!

alt

Of course, like every year, a sort of war erupts between mostly officers of bombarding each other with either very ripe or very not-so-ripe strawberries. And before I knew it, strawberries were flying into the air. Of course, it's no where near intense as it may sound, but this always provides a few good laughs during the event.

alt

After about an hour and a half of strawberry picking, all the members headed over to the new Corner Bakery across from the outlet mall for a late lunch and early dinner.

alt

Overall, this event is a nice relaxing event that makes us forget our worries and allows us to enjoy life at a slower pace. I look forward to going again next year, and hope all our members had an enjoyable time!

GBM3

hello everyone! ヾ(〃⌒ ー―――⌒)ノ~~

my name is Rina (小西リナ)and i'm kind of sort of a part of JSA staff.

i'm estatic to have the distinguished honor of writing a blog! よろしくお願いします!

we had our 3rd GBM at on May 10. the theme was Golden Week, which is a week-long holiday consisting of a variety of holidays that take place during the end of April and early May (if you would like to know more about golden week and weren't able to attend our meeting, click here).

we played a variety of games, and the teams were split into the names of the various holidays.

here are some photos :)

here's shunpei san's team blowing up ballons to pop. trying to pop a balloon...LOOK AT THOSE ARMS. THAT FACE. AND THAT COLOR SHIRT...totally hulk-like. "何で割れないの?!"

alt

eddy's face as he watches people do silly things from the sideline.

alt

and here's my teammate james who had to participate in a sexy dance ! in this photo, he is getting forced to willingly consenting to taking his jacket off. it's all in good fun :)

alt

since we at JSA love 罰ゲーム (punishment game) the losing team had to spell out a word using the junk in their trunks. i unfortunately was in that group and had to spell the "k" of "golden weeK"...

after an informative, very very fun and really-super-i'm-gonna-die-embarrassing 恥ずかしいGBM we went to TGIF where we had to wait a while for our food (almost 2 hours ! i could have ordered, watched avengers, and came back to eat right on time).

however, since it was a rather large turnout for dinner we all had fun talking to each other and getting to know the people sitting around us. PLUS the dinner was a fundraiser in which 20% of the proceeds went to JSA... yay for delicious food, good company and JSA profits !!!!!

alt

i don't know about you, but i had two new friend requests on facebook after GBM/TGIF :) !!! i love making new friends.

i hope your GBM/TGIF experience was as successful and happy as mine! for those that were unable to make it, we have a variety of events planned for the next couple weeks so remember to check out ourJSA facebook group page :) thanks for reading~

goodnight and goodluck,

☆⌒(*^-゚)ノ~♪see you again♪~ヾ(゚-^*)⌒☆

Kayak

E-mail Print PDF

Holla Everybody!

This is Keita.Last Saturday JSA went kayaking!! We were fortuate to have great weather and a former JSA great Jefrrey Yamamoto was able to join us. It was my first time kayaking so I didn't know what to expect after I heard horrific stories from a former JSA officer Esther. After the whole experience I learned one thing. The most important part about kayaking is choosing your partner wisely.

Not gonna comment on my partner....

jk Shunps was great! except for one thing he kept doing

If you wanna know what that was, I guess you'll have to join JSA next time we go kayaking :)

Until next time.. さらばだ!!

Have a nice day!!

Hi, this is Koji!

Hey! So our GBM2 was such a success! The theme was Hanaaami Lol (Ryo). So what is

Hanami? Well you just watch cherry blossom… perhaps it’s more for girls than guys, idk. Well

anyways, 50 people came out to our GBM and played this game called… well the name of the

game isn’t too important but it was so much fun! Also we went to Ichiro’s afterwards for dinner!

If you weren’t there, you missed out on the best dinner ever!! (Maybe not the best but it was

really good!) Everyone who came out to this GBM2, THANK YOU! Really appreciate it! We

will see you soon to our upcoming GBM!
